Pastor Dan and his wife Cheri are in their twentieth year of ministry at RVCC and their forty-fourth year of marriage.  They are blessed with three adult children and ten grandchildren. 

Dan and Cheri began their Christian journey when they committed their lives to Christ in 1973 at Cave Junction, OR.  Believing God had called Dan to study the Bible they moved with their three children to Redding, CA, where Dan attended Northern California Bible Institute (now Shasta Bible College).  Having earned a diploma in pastoral studies, Dan, with his family, continued on to Los Angeles Baptist College (now The Master’s College) for his Bachelor’s degree and Talbot Seminary where he earned his Master’s.  Dan then earned his Doctorate from Trinity Theological Seminary in Newburgh, IN.

In his second year at NCBI Dan began pastoring Open Door Community Church in Shingletown.  When they moved to Southern California to continue his education he became the pastor of Faith Bible Church in Northridge, where he served for eleven years.  Dan began his ministry at Rogue Valley Community Church on Jan. 1, 1990.

The strength of Pastor Dan’s ministry is his teaching of the Scriptures.  At Sunday morning and Wednesday evening worship services he teaches verse by verse through various books of the Bible.  He also serves RVCC as its worship leader, leading worship with an excellent worship team.
