Pastor of Counseling Ministry

I have been the Pastor of Christian Counseling at Rogue Valley Community Church (RVCC) since April of 2002, and would like to take this opportunity to tell you a little about myself and my family.

I was born in Detroit Michigan, but grew up in Southern California.  After graduation from High School I joined the U.S. Army in June of 1963, and was honorably discharged in 1966.  In October of 1967, I was appointed a Police Officer for the City Los Angeles.   I met my wife Sally that same year and we were married on June 1, 1968.  We have two grown children Eric and Heather, thus resulting in five wonderful grandchildren.

I accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Savior on March 23, 1973, in Thousand Oaks California. Right after my conversion and my wife's rededication of her life we joined a local Baptist church where I began studying the Bible.  I received injuries while on the Police Department which resulted in my retirement from L.A.P.D in 1977.

In June of 1979 Sally and I moved to Rogue River, Oregon where we joined a local church.  In June of 1982, I was licensed to the Gospel Ministries. I graduated from Southern Oregon State College with a Bachelors Degree in Psychology in 1985.  I then went onto Seminary and earned my Master’s Degree in Biblical Studies.  In August of 1997 I received my first Doctor of Ministries Degree in Pastoral Studies.  I continued my Seminary studies and earned my second Doctorate in Christian Counseling from Covington Theological Seminary in 2002.  As the Pastor of Christian Counseling at RVCC, I provide Christian counseling not only to church members but to anyone in our community who’s seeking and is in need of Christian counseling all without charge.

I would like to thank our Lord Jesus Christ for the opportunity of serving you and your families.
